Triptych Montage

FaithHope

LoveThis Triptych Montage Represents the Values and Attributes i have learned and applied in my life. Faith, Hope and Love are the themes of each montage. Every picture involved in each piece represents current events and also the effects they have on my own Family. I have included my wife and son and myself. I chose to use only Black and White images to bring a subtle feeling to the abstraction and blending of each piece.

  1. Great composition. I was surprised when I saw it because I was expecting colored pictures, but this works really well. I like how you blended the words into the background. The way you also blended some of the pictures works really nice as well. The words you picked out works as well. Love, hope and faith keeps it with in the same concept. This peace really work for me. I like how the pictures collaborate. Blending them really works. Very nice work.

  2. The grey scale effect can be used to portray emotion and direct the eye. However, with so much detail and creativity the real emotion of this piece cannot be felt. A little color used to direct the eye to your specific points of interest in each piece could really make this piece come to life and talk. All of the grey scale kind of distracts and blurs the triptych together. I like the piece after looking at it for awhile because it does tell a story almost, but it lacks definition with all the same blending of color, or lack there of.

  3. I love the titles you gave each peace of your triptych montage, I also love how in each piece there are certain aspects that seem to pop despite the black and white grey scale that you used. Although, together I find it hard for those seperate pieces to all flow together as a whole, it all still looks very seperate. The style of the composition in some of the parts, I enjoy =) good job though, just work on flow =D

  4. Well Executed! This is definately a different approach than many for this assignment, and it has a great potential to mean many different things to every viewer. But, if the viewer had to assign a catagory to each piece, I think a majority would use the same word you chose for each, so it effectively gets across what you were shooting for. The "Faith" & "LOve" pieces really seem to have a sense of depth to them too. The only turn off for me is the repeated Obama face in the "Hope" piece. Since he did run on hope as a slogan, it does seem justifiable he'd be in there, just not so overwhelmingly. Excellent idea to go greyscale with this one!
